While the Havasu Riviera Marina in Lake Havasu City has been open since 2022, this year was truly the first full season, according to Mychal Gorden, CEO of Desert Land Group.
The marina has been developed in phases, with the launch ramp opening in May 2022, just in time for Memorial Weekend. A series of soft openings then took place to introduce the public to Havasu Riviera Marina’s facilities. Fuel docks, the marina store, and the first slips were also added.
Then, in 2023, additional boat slips were added, making the marina what it is today.
While at times a bit slow during the excessively hot summer, Gorden said the 2024 season was a good one.
And, Gorden said many people still think the marina is exclusively for the Riviera Lake Havasu subdivision. Rather, they are two separate operations, with the subdivision being private and the marina being a public facility open to everyone.
