Tucked away in the hills behind SARA Park, a vast housing development on 250 acres of land in Lake Havasu City is starting to take shape.
Development of Riviera Lake Havasu, which is located toward the southern end of town and neighbors the Havasu Riviera Marina, started several years ago, but just recently, several homes have been completed and residents have moved in.
The first lots in Riviera Lake Havasu were sold in 2020, and according to Desert Land Group CEO Mychal Gorden, 320 of the 350 currently available lots have been sold. Homes in the area range in size and layout, with some reaching four stories.
Marina View was the first neighborhood where lots were sold, and as a result, Gorden said it has the highest density of homes that are either completed or under construction.
Flat Irons, the most recent neighborhood to come on the market, sits on the backside of SARA Park. Gorden said it has quickly become the neighborhood with the second most homes, as the construction process is simpler.
Overall, across the development roughly 50 homes are under construction, and 19 have been finished, with some already occupied.
